Although the Koketna.com e-commerce site no longer operates, the project I completed as a freelance photographer remains an important part of my portfolio. I was commissioned to produce a series of images for their online catalogue, working closely with models, art directors, graphic designers, and the marketing team to deliver both campaign imagery and catalogue photography.

Project scope and objectives

  • Create a cohesive visual language that reflected Koketna’s brand identity and product positioning.

  • Produce high-quality catalogue shots suitable for web presentation: product detail, flat-lay, on-model lookbook, and lifestyle images.

  • Support marketing campaigns with imagery and lifestyle assets for banners, email, and social media.

Collaboration and workflow

  • Pre-production: Participated in creative brief sessions with art directors and the marketing team to define concept, mood, color palette, and shot lists. Coordinated with stylists and designers to ensure product styling matched brand guidelines.

  • Model casting and direction: Assisted the art director in selecting models whose look and movement matched the campaign tone. On set I directed poses and expressions to highlight product fit and features while keeping a natural, wearable feel.

  • Set and lighting: Built adaptable lighting setups to balance studio precision (for catalogue consistency) with softer, more dynamic lighting for lifestyle shots. Managed backgrounds and props to maintain brand coherence across images.

  • Post-production collaboration: Delivered RAW files and selected edits to the graphic design team. Worked with retouchers to preserve true fabric texture, color fidelity and fine detail while applying consistent cropping and color grading for the catalogue grid.

Deliverables and results

  • Complete catalogue sets: standardized product-on-model shots, close-ups, and detail images formatted for online use.

  • Campaign imagery: hero and lifestyle photos tailored for banners and promotional material.

  • Provide retouched images ready for web optimization with consistent color management and file naming suitable for e-commerce ingestion.

Challenges and solutions

  • Maintaining color accuracy across different garments: implemented calibrated monitors and color-check workflows in both capture and post.

  • Balancing model-driven lifestyle imagery with strict catalogue requirements: created dual-shoot workflows that first captured standardized product views, then shifted to looser, narrative-driven sequences without disrupting styling continuity.

  • Tight timelines and multiple stakeholders: used clear shot lists and real-time image review on set to speed approvals and reduce roundtrips in post.

Why this project matters even though Koketna.com is no longer active? - Because the work demonstrates my ability to manage end-to-end e-commerce photography projects: briefing with creative teams, directing models, executing technically precise captures, and delivering production-ready assets aligned with marketing goals. The images from this collaboration illustrate practical experience in fashion/catalogue workflows and cross-discipline coordination—skills I apply to all commercial photographic assignments.
